PARTICIPATION

There are no bench sitters – every child participates. Therefore, every child learns, grows, and becomes a stronger individual. Growth in martial arts is a personal journey not to be compared or judged by others. Everyone grows at their own pace and faces their own challenges. Classmates are there to build each other up.

SCHOOL WORK AND GRADES

Most parents find that not only do the kids have time for the Taekwondo lessons, but many of them also see a notable improvement in their child’s grades. Developing a child’s self-esteem, accountability, and goal-setting in Taekwondo carries over in all aspects of life giving them the tools for confidence and dedication to maintain good grades in school and eventually success in the work world.

Is there grappling in Taekwondo?

Taekwondo is primarily a striking art. The basics to grappling self-defense will be gradually introduced as you progress in rank. That being said, any specific or general questions about self-defense situations, grappling, or “what-to-do-in-this-scenario” are welcomed.

Will I train weapons in Taekwondo?

Taekwondo is primarily an empty-handed art, meaning that weapons are not an integral part of our training. However, advanced students start to learn some basic work

Can Senior Citizens Train Taekwondo?

Senior Citizens can absolutely train Taekwondo! In Martial Arts, it is best to train around one’s injuries in a way that will not further injure oneself. When done with full awareness of one’s abilities, individuals are often surprised at the improvements seen in stamina, strength, flexibility, and even mental recall (through learning forms and the material). As far as self-defense goes, in a Martial Art school, the instructor and other students can train around one’s injuries and still become effective in applying self-defense knowledge.
