Our History
When Mr. McMurray announced he was closing the doors at McMurray’s Family Taekwondo, none of us were ready to let go. The mat had become so much more than a place to practice kicks, forms, and sparring—it was where our students built confidence, forged lifelong friendships, and found a true second home. Seeing the heartbreak and devastation on our students’ faces made one thing immediately clear: this community is far too special to lose.
Instead of letting this chapter end, we decided to build the next one together.
McMurray’s Family Taekwondo is now Tiger Shark Martial Arts.
The name may be new, but the foundation remains rooted in the same dedication, discipline, and family spirit that brought us together in the first place. Tiger Shark Martial Arts was born directly out of the passion and perseverance of our students and families. We are stepping onto the mats with renewed energy, determined to provide a supportive, high-energy environment where every student can continue their martial arts journey without missing a beat.
The legacy continues, the family stays together, and the best is yet to come.
